Getting ready of the bride and groom took place at the hotel Mercury. Then couple and guests went for a walk along the rivers and canals of Amsterdam. In order to keep the traditions on the wedding day, the bride wore 5 items of symbols: one new thing, a symbol of a new life, an old thing, a symbol of her past, a borrowed thing, a symbol of love for friends and a donated thing, and blue, as a symbol of the bride’s sincerity and purity.

Ilaria & Giacomo are Italians and live in Italy. They have their own wonderful and stylish plus size clothing store. But since the couple’s parents and many relatives live in Holland, it was decided to hold the celebration in Amsterdam. And I, as a photographer, was lucky to capture the most important moments in their life.

After the newlyweds getting ready, we arrived at the Het West-Indisch Huis ceremony site. The Het West-Indisch Huis is located right in the center of Amsterdam, a short walk from the city’s main train station. This unique location has a beautiful courtyard and a beautiful hall for weddings. And the pier is just a few meters away.

Since the place of the ceremony is located in the very heart of Amsterdam, it was decided to hold the photoshoot nearby. After the photo shoot, the couple arrived at the Amstel Boathouse for a wedding dinner and party. This is a great location perfect for big and colorful celebrations.
